For example, we don’t zip tie your wiring kit to your hitch so it dangles below your bumper, and we don’t use cheap low quality universal wiring kits like some of our competitors. Since we use high quality, vehicle specific, direct plug-in wiring kits designed specifically for the vehicle where available, you don’t have to worry about a trailer wiring issue affecting your vehicle.
To summarize, about 90% of vehicles built after 2000 have a direct plugin kit available. Vehicles that don’t, we use high quality Curt or Tekonsha brand circuit protected universal kits. It is important to have circuit protection to prevent a trailer malfunction causing a back feed and possibly damaging sensitive vehicle electronics in todays vehicles.
