2024 Riverdale Street Paving Project
The Massachusetts DOT will be repaving approx 2.2 miles of Route 5 which will impact traffic by our location. They will be repaving between exit 10 (old exit 13a/b by Costco/Home Depot) and the Holyoke line just north of our location.
06/28/2024 Update: They are currently working between intersection at Highland Ave and the Mass Pike/91 Entrance ramp. Best way to arrive would be coming in off of 91 or the Mass pike exit which will exit you onto route 5 approximately 500′ before our entrance.
The best way to get to our location and avoid traffic will be to come in via Interstate 91, or the Mass Pike. Either will drop you right at our front door. We recommend checking Waze or another traffic app on your way here.

From North and Southbound Interstate 91
- Take Exit 11 (Old Exit 14)
- Stay to Left to go past Mass pike entrance towards Rt 5 Riverdale ST/West Springfield
- At split, stay Left to Route 5 North (Riverdale St / Holyoke)
- After merging onto Route 5 North (Riverdale Street) Cap & Hitch of New England is the First Building you will see on the Right
From East and West Mass Pike
- Take Exit 41 (Old Exit 4)
- You will approach a split to go Left towards 91, or Right towards Route 5 W.Springfield
- Stay to Right and Merge toward Route 5 W.Springfield
- In approx 500′ there is another split, go Left to Route 5 North
- After merging onto Route 5 North (Riverdale Street) Cap & Hitch of New England is the First Building you will see on the Right
